Overview
Bouquet is a rechargeable table lamp from Magis, designed in 2022 by BrogliatoTraverso. It is a flower vase and table lamp in one, in six colours.
Construction
The body is injection-moulded ABS. A cylindrical element holds the electronics and LEDs, and a removable hollow cap serves as the vase. The LED has a dimmer function and a colour temperature of 2700 K, and the power is 1.5 W.
Specifications
8.2 x 8.2 x 22 cm (W x D x H, lamp device LI100 / LI101). A 2000 mAh battery is charged through a USB-C cable.
Story
Lamp and vase in one object
Bouquet combines the function of a vase and that of a lamp in a single element. A cylindrical element encloses the electronics and LEDs, and a removable one acts as the vase. Vase elements in other colours can be swapped in.
Making room for the vase
The electronic parts had to occupy a small space in the base so that an internal void could take the removable hollow cap. Getting them onto the thin upper crown, where the LED circuit sits, was a challenge in development. The battery charges through a magnetic USB-C jack under the base.
