Description
Overview
The Bolster Sofa Group is a series by BassamFellows for Herman Miller, named after long, horizontal bolster cushions. The page calls it inviting, versatile and thoughtfully scaled, with the relaxed comfort of a residential sofa and a structure that holds up to contract use.
Construction
Multiple foams in the seat under a slim, pliable seat cushion, with plush back pillows of foam and fiber, on stainless steel legs.
Specifications
The 3-seat sofa prints 96, 32 and 29 inches on the manufacturer's drawings. The series also includes a settee, a club chair, corner and chaise units and an ottoman.
Story
Layers and horizontal lines
Herman Miller says BassamFellows named the series after bolster cushions and used the concept of layers to balance comfort with a structure that holds up to contract use. Several foams give support inside the seat, while a slim, pliable seat cushion adds a loose, laid-back look.
