Bol

Overview

Bol is a table by Zaven, model 2325, dated 2023. It comes with two round tops, 135 and 160 cm in diameter, and two oval tops, 230 and 260 cm long.

Construction

• Base: hard polyurethane, matt or glossy lacquered
• Top: MDF, matt lacquered
• Colours: seven lacquers shared by base and top
• Legs: a cylinder segment used alone or combined into a second, asymmetrical base

From a round table to a module

Zaven says its design language relies on elementary geometric shapes and volumes that combine into complex ones, and presents Bol as an example. The designers started from a round table with a central leg and developed the idea of modularity from it.

One leg, several bases

The base is a module with two asymmetrical legs, each a cylinder taken from a small portion of the perimeter. A leg can stand alone where the top allows, or pair with another for stability, and two or more modules combine into the second base.
