Description

Overview

Boden is a table-sculpture of organic matrix signed by Gordon Guillaumier, built on the idea of a compact and excavated volume. The design plays with solids and voids, concave and convex shapes, and the contrast between a glossy Sand-lacquered interior surface and an opaque exterior in Moka-coloured oak.

Construction

The structure has an interior of contoured MDF and an exterior of curved plywood faced with oak veneer, open-pore lacquered in Moka, while the inside of the structure is finished in Sand colour glossy lacquer. The top comes in two options, Zebrino marble and Black pâte de verre, each 15 mm thick, contoured and set partly into the frame with 5 mm exposed. Protective rubber glides are fitted to the 70 cm Ø coffee table.

Specifications

Overall size: 70 x 70 x H36 cm (round coffee table, 70 cm Ø).

Story

Solids and voids

The updated Boden stays with the compact, excavated volume of the original and gives more weight to the interplay of solids and voids, concave and convex.

Sand inside, Moka outside

The glossy Sand-lacquered interior surface contrasts with the opaque exterior in Moka-coloured oak. A Black pâte de verre or a Zebrino marble top covers the volume.
