Overview
The Boa Table is Stefan Diez's contemporary take on the conference table typology for HAY, inspired by traditional Japanese bamboo craftmanship. Customisable tabletops are offered in linoleum, laminate, wood or glass.
Construction
The tubular frame is made entirely of Hydro CIRCAL aluminium with at least 75% recycled post-consumer scrap, extruded in Denmark on renewable energy. Flexible profiles are bent into position during assembly, which keeps the table flat-packed and light. Power supply and cable storage accessories can be added.
Specifications
- Listed variant: L220 x W110 x H75 cm, charcoal powder coated frame with black lacquered oak veneer top
- Also offered in lengths L280, L350 and L420, widths W110 and W128, and heights H75, H95 and H105
Story
From bamboo craft to conference table
The table was originally inspired by the traditional skills of Japanese bamboo craftmanship and translates an organic idea into a contemporary conference table. The frame profiles are bent into place during assembly.
