Description
Overview
The Bistra Dining Armchair is a dining armchair designed for GUBI by Michele De Lucchi's AMDL Circle. GUBI files it under Seating, Dining Chairs, and 2025 is the design year in its table. Construction
GUBI says the collection is rooted in steam-bent rattan and that the visual language draws on organic growth, seen in the tree-like contours of the legs, arms and backrest. The table lists rattan for the leg and the shell and fabric for the upholstery, rated at 20.000 Martindale on the default item.
Specifications
The drawings mark 66 cm wide, 55.5 cm deep and 81.5 cm high (26 x 21.9 x 32.1 in). Net weight in the tables: 6.6 kg (14.6 lb).

A bistro chair reduced to its essentials
GUBI says Bistra is a sculptural furniture collection that distils the classic bistro chair to its essential form, finding elegance and timelessness in its core structural elements. It comprises a dining armchair, a lounge chair and a three-legged stool.
Branching forms and a botanical pattern
GUBI links the collection to organic growth: legs, arms and backrest take tree-like contours, and the custom upholstery repeats the idea in a botanical motif that GUBI says is inspired by a Leonardo da Vinci fresco. Three frame colours and several fabrics are on offer.
