Story
An easy chair with a large arm
In HAY's interview Schneck describes the objective as a very generous and comfortable chair with an arm large enough to park a cup of coffee on, and as a product that could be renewed and used for generations. HAY's page adds that an easy chair suits any space, from a bedroom to a living room to an office.
Not upholstered
Schneck says that this time Rolf Hay came to them with a request for an easy chair. They saw a chance to make something not upholstered, in the hope of a chair that was a bit more economic and unique in the HAY assortment, and presented full-sized paper models.
