Construction

  • Separate seat shell and structural frame
  • Five seat-shell colours documented by Vitra
  • One deep-black base colour
  • Stackable up to five high

Use

Vitra permits temporary or seasonal outdoor use and directs that the chair be cleaned and stored under shelter after prolonged exposure.

Story

The shell defines the version

Vitra describes the Belleville identity as changing with the seat shell. This edition uses plastic rather than the moulded plywood offered on the Wood model.

From one continuous outline

The frame follows the legs and back as a single visual line. The armrest-free Plastic chair keeps that outline while using only two principal components.
