Story
Interlocking discs
Bau is a sculptural hanging lamp whose design is based on interlocking geometric circles. The pattern is broken up by the sizes of the discs and by their off-centre linkages, which makes the lamp look lively and organic.
Designed in 2010
Vibeke Fonnesberg Schmidt designed Bau in 2010. Bau is the German word for construction, and the lamp is a self-assembly lamp made of natural wooden parts.
