Atlante Outdoor Daybed

Overview

The Atlante daybed is a 2020 outdoor design by Antonio Citterio for Flexform. Its aesthetic is described as svelte, with high-quality materials chosen to last in the most disparate weather conditions.

Construction

An aluminium base with epoxy powder-coat finish is upholstered in water-repellent elastic webbing. The reclinable backrest is solid iroko on an electropolished 316 stainless-steel recliner system with a grey thermoplastic bracket. The seat and backrest cushion is polyester fibre over a single-density crushproof insert, in water-repellent fabric with grosgrain piping. Feet are cast aluminium on thermoplastic tips.

Personalization in the details

The craftsmanship details give the daybed its talent for personalization: a powder-coated aluminium base, webbing that can contrast or match, a mattress finished with grosgrain piping, and a backrest whose angle is set by a simple mechanism. A wheeled version moves the daybed with ease.
