Description
Overview
Aria is a writing desk by Vincent Van Duysen, from 2025. Molteni&C's page says it combines lightness and strength, and the datasheet describes its defining feature as a sheet folded at both ends. The top surface is covered in Eco Skin, offered in two colours of the Molteni&C range, and a small drawer pulls out from inside.

Construction
The internal structure is painted steel. The perimeter profile is solid ash stained black, the internal infills and legs are particle board covered in black-stained ash veneer, and the feet are adjustable burnished steel with plastic tips.
Specifications
- ASC1, writing desk: 140 cm wide, 72.5 cm on the vertical dimension line and 70 cm on the larger side-view line (no dimension line is labelled on the drawing)
Story
A folded sheet
The page describes the folded sheet as giving the desk an architectural purity, with a top surface wrapped in Eco Skin, which it calls a sophisticated vegan leather. According to the page the covering is attached by a magnetic system, so that the surface is seamless and uninterrupted.
Wood below, drawer within
The datasheet describes the lower part as tapered along the whole perimeter and made of solid wood painted open-pore black. Inside it, a small pull-out drawer holds precious items; the page calls it discreet storage that leaves the minimalist form undisturbed.
