Overview
Arc is a family of round and oval tables by Foster + Partners, dated 2010 on Molteni&C's datasheet. Molteni&C's page says its form takes inspiration from the techno-structures used in modern building construction, and that the table won the Elle Decor Design Award in 2011.

Construction
The base is a cement and organic fibre composite, moulded in a single block and coloured during mixing. The top is 12 mm extra-clear or smoked tempered crystal with a bevelled edge (not on ATO2 and ATO5) or 20 mm marble in the range finishes. The feet are non-slip plastic.

Story
A base from building technology
The page says the base is made of an advanced light cement that blends colour with a special fibrous compound, giving strength while looking weightless. It is moulded in a single block and dyed throughout, which allows complex fluid shapes that the page calls powerful and graceful.
