Description
Overview
Any Day is a compact ottoman designed by Christophe Pillet. Flexform presents it as part of a wider family of understated pieces in which proportion, detail and execution carry the design.
Construction
A metal frame supports one of two woven seats: twisted rush paper or cord made from pure cellulose. The frame is offered in standard metal finishes, matte-lacquer choices and satin, chrome or black-chrome treatments. Thermoplastic tips protect the contact points beneath the feet.
Story
Understatement and proportion
The 2020 design extends the Any Day concept from coffee tables to an ottoman. Pillet's statement on the page asks whether a piece of wood on a simple structure can be sufficient, then points to detail, balanced proportions and execution as the qualities that make the object complete.
A woven seat
The ottoman replaces the family's table top with a seat woven in one of two paper-cord constructions.
