Description
Overview
Amii is a nendo design for Minotti: an outdoor seating system inspired by and named after an enveloping net. Woven cord panels draw the backrests and armrests in an S-shaped curve that cradles cushions of different forms and sizes.
Construction
The backrests are tubular stainless steel clad in woven polypropylene fibre and hook onto the padded base by a quick set and release coupling. The seat is plywood and variable-density polyurethane foam in a water-repellent polyester cover, raised on solid teak feet.
Specifications
- Woven strip 24x7 mm
- Three cord colours, each matched to a structure colour
- Completely removable covers
Story
An enveloping net
Amii is inspired by and named after a net that embraces and shelters. The woven cord panels draw the backrests and armrests in a harmonious S-shaped curve, and they gently cradle the cushions.
Raised on teak
The system stands off the ground on teak feet. Cushions of different forms and sizes sit within the curved cord panels and can be combined in multiple ways.
