Description

AC Lounge

Designed for contract settings and also presented for residential interiors, AC Lounge uses a single quilted seat cushion and matching quilted back cushions. Upholstery is offered in fabric or leather.

Structure

Steel tubes and profiles provide the internal skeleton. Around it, cold-moulded foam sits beneath polyester fibre; the cushions add multiple foam densities and a cotton cover.

ALG217

The three-seat ALG217 drawing gives 217 × 90 × 78 cm and marks the feet at 17.5 cm above the floor.

Story

Contract brief, residential reach

B&B Italia states that AC Lounge was conceived for contract furniture use and also adapts to residential contexts. The official sheet dates the sofa to 2009 and credits Antonio Citterio.

Quilting as a repeated detail

The single seat cushion is quilted, and the same treatment is repeated across the back cushions. Painted metal appears at the feet and along the lower edge.
