経歴
**ルカ・ニケット（Luca Nichetto）**は1976年、ヴェネツィアに生まれ、ヴェネツィアとムラーノ島で育ちました。家庭には日常的にガラスが身近にある環境でした。1998年にヴェネツィア建築大学（IUAV）の工業デザイン科を卒業し、Salviatiでの仕事を経て、後にFoscariniのプロダクトデザイナー兼コンサルタントを務めました。2006年に故郷ヴェネツィアで自身のスタジオを開設。2011年にストックホルムへ移住し、そこで第2のスタジオを立ち上げました。現在、彼のクリエイティブハウス「NICHETTO」は、ヴェネツィアとストックホルムを拠点に活動しています。
デザインの特徴
&Traditionは、彼の作品を、幼少期を形作ったムラーノのガラス製造産業を思い起こさせる、自然な豊かさと遊び心あふれる表現、そしてスウェーデンならではのモダニティと持続可能性の精神が融合したものと評しています。世界中のデザイナーとの協働を大切にしており、「未来は分かち合いにある」と語っています。
主な作品
主なクライアントには、Ginori 1735、Hermès、Foscarini、Cassina、Steinway & Sons、Barovier & Toso、Svenskt Tenn、&Traditionなどがあります。&Traditionのために、Cloud（2015）、Lato（2018）、Tabata（2022）、Sett（2024）、Gio（2025）、Muno（2025）をデザインしました。
功績
自身のスタジオによれば、活動歴は25年以上にわたり、作品は美術館の常設コレクションに収蔵されています。2021年には、ムラーノ島のPunta Conterie Galleryにて展覧会「Emphatic: Discovering a Glass Legacy」をキュレーションしました。
