Background
LSM Studio is a design firm with offices in Washington, DC and New York. Molteni&C names Debra Lehman Smith as the founding partner of LSM, established in 1991. The firm's own site calls LSM a workplace design leader that provides custom solutions to clients worldwide, aligning business goals and brand vision with the built environment, and describes it as a women-owned business.
Signature Style
The studio's site lists its specialisms as architectural and interior design, real estate analysis, FF&E coordination, art coordination, branding, environmental graphics and creative services. Molteni&C says the firm advises developers, architects and major corporations on commercial real estate developments.
Notable Works
The studio sorts its projects into legal, corporate, and tech and finance work, with law-firm offices for Covington, Milbank, Paul Hastings and WilmerHale among the entries. Its collaboration page presents the Andromeda collection made with UniFor, and Molteni&C lists the Andromeda single unit under LSM Studio.
Legacy
The awards page names AIA national honor awards for interior architecture, British Council for Offices awards, Architectural Record Good Design Is Good Business awards and Interior Design's Best of the Year 2024 winner in contract case goods for the Andromeda collection. Molteni&C adds that Interior Design Magazine named Debra Lehman Smith its Designer of the Year.
