Joseph Ricchio earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Design at California State University, Long Beach and studied art and design in Florence.
Practice and Teaching
After four years as a product and graphic designer for a southern California consultancy, he founded Ricchio Design. He later taught at California State University, Long Beach and Art Center College of Design.
Knoll
With Linda Ricchio he designed the Ricchio Chair, recipient of the 1991 ROSCOE Award. Knoll subsequently collaborated with him twice more.
