Background
Guillaume Lopez was born in 1989. He studied at the Saint-Étienne School of Art and Design, refined his creative vision with Christophe Delcourt in Paris, and then joined the Yabu Pushelberg studio in Toronto. In 2022 he settled in the French Alps.
Signature Style
Lopez explores the balance between strength and sensitivity. He works from a dialogue between forms, materials and craftsmanship, and from the belief that collaboration and shared passions give rise to timeless collections. In the Alps he develops creations that combine innovative manufacturing techniques with natural materials.
Notable Works
Elio is his table lamp for Ligne Roset, with a wooden base and a textured paper shade held by brass details. In April 2026 Le FRENCH DESIGN awarded him for the Elio lamp. He also runs his own brand, Détour.
