Gerrit Rietveld
格里特·托马斯·里特维尔德（Gerrit Thomas Rietveld，1888–1964）是荷兰家具设计师和建筑师，出生于乌得勒支，父亲是一位细木工匠。他11岁辍学，到父亲的店铺工作，之后在夜校学习，并担任乌得勒支珠宝商C. J. Begeer的制图员，1917年开设了自己的家具工坊。

标志性风格
里特维尔德用清晰分离的构件来打造家具与建筑——平面、细条与木板相互交接，毫不掩饰——追求简洁的结构以及最终的批量生产。他于1919年加入风格派（De Stijl），此后转向以预制和标准化为特征的功能主义建筑。
