Biography
Background
Daniel Debiasi earned his degree in industrial design at the Politecnico di Milano. He got to know Federico Sandri in Milan, where both were running projects for international design companies, and the two opened the studio Debiasi Sandri in 2010.
Signature Style
In the studio's thinking a product is never judged alone: it is read together with the space around it, as one element of a larger system. Debiasi pursues this with Sandri through experiments in materials and the link between industry and craft.
Notable Works
As co-designer he has put his name to Stage, a floor lamp made for Normann Copenhagen in 2016, the Elba seating family for Crassevig (2017) and the Ora bowls for Stelton (2020).
Legacy
Debiasi shares in the studio's prizes, which include iF Design Awards in 2016 and 2025 and a German Design Award in 2020. He is listed as a speaker at Clerkenwell Design Week, and the studio's lectures and workshops include the Politecnico di Milano.
