Benjamin Voisin

Background

Benjamin Voisin was born in Toulouse in 1991. He trained in Applied Arts at the université Jean Jaurès in Toulouse, then studied for an IUP Couleur, Image et Design (a Masters in Colour, Image and Design) at Montauban, which offered a course on colour that was unique in France at the time. His placements there included Reine Mère Edition and Samuel Accoceberry.

Signature Style

Voisin attaches great importance to detail, to the graphic aspect of an object and to the rhythm it gives off. His designs draw on the stories of everyday life, with rigorous work on colour and materials and contemporary, elegant lines.

Notable Works

In the final year of his Masters he designed the Majordôme hybrid furniture with Pauline Pinto and Cédric Guillemin. The project won the Prix du Public at the 7th Révélateur de Talents competition run by Cinna and then went into production.

Legacy

He now works in Paris as an independent designer. His Ligne Roset creation is the Caffè low table.
