Collection Story

Origin

Fritz Hansen's pages describe the Vico Duo™ as a stylish veneer stacking chair with simple, tight lines that Vico Magistretti designed in 1997, working among his sketches in the company's design department; the pages add that it is well suited for agile work spaces and hospitality. The fact sheet prints 1997/2020 in its year field, and the product data lists 2020 as the launch year of the models we hold.

Eight models

One fact sheet covers eight stackable models: VM110 and VM111 on tube legs (chair and armchair), VM112 and VM113 with a welded linking device, VM114 and VM115 on a sledge base (the latter with the linking device), the counter stool VM116 and the bar stool VM118.

Seat cushion and armpads

The sheet lists a seat cushion in two variants, pre-mounted or loose, made with PUR foam and covered in the Just textile in dark grey or black. Just is made of 98 % post-consumer recycled polyester and is certified with Standard 100 by OEKO-TEX and the EU Ecolabel. The armpads of the armchairs are 30 % polyamide.
