Collection Story

Origin

Fredericia's Trisse Collection brings back Nanna Ditzel's Trisse from 1962 as a family of flexible objects, now reintroduced in solid oak and crafted in Denmark at Fredericia's joinery. The collection page lists ten products, ND102 to ND114.

Design Language

Fredericia describes Trisse as a turned base and top in solid oak, joined with no visible mechanisms, so that flexibility comes from proportion, balance and scale. Originally known as the Toad Stool in English and Trissen, meaning spool, in Danish, the collection was developed from 1962 to 2004 and is described as a modern icon in museum collections.
