Collection Story
Origin
Trampoline is Patricia Urquiola's outdoor collection for Cassina. Cassina's pages date the sofa, armchair and love bed to 2020 and the chair to 2023. The sunbed's official sources conflict: its page heading says 2020 while its product sheet says 2021. The sofa's CassinaLAB sheet places the collection in its Cassina Outdoor section.
Design Language
Cassina describes a playfully designed collection of soft, curvy shapes in which circular materials express a conscious attitude to the environment. The materials come out of research by Cassina LAB, which grew from a collaboration with POLI.design at the Milan Polytechnic. The recurring ingredients are RFM, a hand-finished recycled fibreglass, hand-woven polypropylene and nylon cord, and cushion filling of recycled PET fibre.
