Collection Story

Origin

Fredericia's Spine page lists two products by Space Copenhagen, the Spine Wood Base Barstool and the Spine Wood Base Stool. The company says the series was first made for a Michelin-starred restaurant in Copenhagen and now appears in hospitality venues around the world. The barstool sheet gives 2011, and the page for the stool lists 2014.

Design Language

Fredericia describes Spine as a series of chairs and barstools in which materiality gets great attention and classic details sit beside unorthodox ones. The stool and the barstool are built alike: wooden legs of solid timber joined by a powder coated aluminium stretcher under a plywood shell, with the height to be chosen as counter or bar.
