Collection Story

Origin

Cassina calls Soft Corners the first Cassina project by Dutch designer Linde Freya Tangelder, dated 2022 on its page and sheets. The idea came from research she did in Turin, Italy, on an IN Residence stay, and Cassina's Research and Development Centre used the partnership to start the Patronage project.

Design Language

The page describes a Tetris puzzle of soft shapes: three ottoman types (rectangular, low rectangular and an L-shaped square) built from interlocking modules, completed by an industrial style stainless-steel low table with a sculptural look.
