Collection Story
Origin
On Fredericia's product pages the Søborg starts with a wooden chair that Børge Mogensen presented in 1950; further variants followed. The pages for the metal-base models give a design year of 1952 and call the chair one of Mogensen's rare works in steel. The series listing on fredericia.com shows six products.

Design Language
Every model shares one outline: a seat and back that Fredericia calls generously proportioned, which can be left bare or upholstered, on a base of either solid wood or a steel tube frame. The wood-base pages list four wood treatments, and the metal-base pages list the frame in chrome or black.
