Collection Story
Origin
Arne Jacobsen conceived the Series 3300™ for the SAS Terminal of Copenhagen's SAS Royal Hotel. According to the sheet the design dates from 1956, and Fritz Hansen's project page for the building, now the Radisson Collection Royal, names the series among the furnishings of the hotel.
Design Language
The sheet's words for the series are cool and formal, matching Jacobsen's buildings of the period, and it names a sofa from his own house of the 1940s as the starting point. The product page contrasts its elegance with the organic Egg™ and Swan™ chairs made for the same hotel.
