Origin
Fredericia presents Savannah as a series by the Swedish designer Monica Förster, created as a contemporary reading of Scandinavian design principles. The designer text on the product pages places her upbringing in Sweden near the Arctic Circle and ties her cross-disciplinary approach to curiosity about materials and methods.
Design Language
The company calls Savannah an open yet embracing design in which premium leather or canvas wraps around a solid wood frame to cover the back and sides. Its sheet text puts solid wood on the outside and plush upholstery on the inside. Each cushion is sewn by hand, and the high back cushions rise above the leather structure.
