Collection Story
Origin
Chape&Mache designed Ondule for Ligne Roset as two lights, one a table lamp and the other a wall light, each with an undulating silhouette. The silhouette meanders across surfaces and conducts light, so that its radiance contrasts with the objects it comes across. Chape&Mache won the first prize of the 9th Cinna "Révélateur de talents" competition with Ondule in 2016.
Design Language
Formal and experimental research into copper tubing gave the lights their sinuous lines, and the properties of the material allow curves to be traced through bending. The duality between the matt black and the copper colour accentuates an asymmetrical geometry and the capacity to be angled as necessary.
Key Pieces
The table lamp measures 380 mm wide, 170 mm deep and 325 mm high and weighs 1.35 kg. The wall light measures 200 mm wide, 185 mm deep and 440 mm high and weighs 1.4 kg.
On INTEBEE the pieces of this collection can be added to a spec sheet with their official images and dimensions, and every revision of the specification is kept in one place for the project team and suppliers.
