Origin
Mon-Cloud, a living system credited to Patricia Urquiola at Cassina, began with a 2023 sofa and gained a 2024 armchair; both are marked CassinaLAB. The sheets say it rethinks upholstered furniture with an eye to circularity.
Design Language
A wooden structure lifts the upholstered parts off the floor, giving the lightness of a cloud, and the fabric creates a distinctive fold. Inside, a metal skeleton is wrapped in quilted recycled PET fibre like a comforter, with CIRCULARREFOAM inserts that can be separated, and nothing is glued, so the pieces can be completely disassembled.
