Collection Story
Origin
Mirabell is an outdoor collection by GamFratesi for Poltrona Frau. Its starting point is metal benches and seats made in France during the 20th century, painted wrought iron pieces that stood in parks and elegant private gardens, and GamFratesi carries that decorative spirit into a contemporary language that is more essential and rigorous.
Design Language
A metal frame with a double foot lifts each seat and element clear of the ground. Rattan outdoor furniture provided the cue for the structure, where woven metal elements evoke a big basket hanging in the air that takes soft padded cushions or small tabletops. Its distinctive supporting curve is the hallmark of the entire collection, and the frames are aluminium with a textured Basalt powder coat.
