Collection Story
Origin
Fredericia's page for the Lynderup Chair family lists two products by Børge Mogensen: the Lynderup Chair with a wooden seat (model 3080) and the Lynderup Chair Seat upholstered (model 3081). Both sheets are headed "Designed By Børge Mogensen, 1954", and the page text adds that Fredericia launched the design for the first time in 2021. The chair carries the name of a Jutland village in Denmark, the place of Mogensen's country house and design office.
Design Language
Fredericia positions the chair as a stacking seat built around plywood shells. The two versions differ in the seat: plywood on the 3080, and a seat pad on the 3081 covered in fabric or leather. The frame is tubular steel in chrome or black lacquer on both.
