Collection Story

Origin

Fredericia dates the Konami Sofa to 2019 and credits it to Damian Williamson, the Stockholm-based English designer (1974-2024). The name is given as Japanese for 'little wave'. Fredericia later called the Nami Sofa a homage to Konami.

Design Language

Fredericia describes gentle curves culminating in a sculptural sofa with an unforced elegance, a crafted body on slim metal legs and fixed upholstery. Wood and cold cured foam form the body, covers stay on, and the legs are powder coated or brushed stainless steel.
