Collection Story
Origin
Fredericia presents the Jota Lounge Collection as a new upholstered lounge collection made in partnership with the British designer Jasper Morrison. The company says it reflects Morrison's deep admiration for Børge Mogensen and combines clean lines, exceptional craftsmanship and sublime comfort. Morrison describes it as a contemporary interpretation of the Mogensen/Fredericia formula that balances softer lines and colours with the conceptual rigour of the originals.
Design Language
In Morrison's words the collection carries on the DNA of Fredericia, and softer lines and modern details add new dimensions to Mogensen's formal language. Fredericia describes the result as aesthetically refined, with subtle details and a durability suited to everyday family life. The collection is built on a solid pine frame with FSC-certified oak legs in light oil, lacquered or black lacquer finishes, and is crafted at the workshop in Svendborg, Denmark.
