Origin
I Contemporanei is the section of Cassina's offer that gathers its partnerships with contemporary designers; on the Cassina website it sits beside a counterpart called Maestri, and a switch at the top of the page moves between the two. The page says the company is honored to partner with the leading international contemporary designers, and it names Gaetano Pesce, Piero Lissoni, Rodolfo Dordoni, Philippe Starck, Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec and the art director, Patricia Urquiola.
Design Language
The section is built around people, not around a single form language. Its page is an index of 60 designer entries that can be sorted A to Z; the Mario Bellini page, for example, gives a biography and a list of his Cassina products. Cassina's Cab pages call the Cab chair a signature piece of the collection.
