Collection Story

Origin

The Haussmann range starts from a club armchair that the Swiss couple Trix and Robert Haussmann drew in 1962 for the Swiss Design Collection. Robert Haussmann wanted Chesterfield comfort with a lighter appearance, and the Haussmann Sofa takes its design from that armchair.

Design Language

Button upholstery forms a diamond pattern over seat and back, while fine feet pay homage to the Bauhaus. The armchair's quilting is done by hand, with buttons set deep and placed symmetrically, on a wooden frame.

Key Pieces

  • Haussmann Armchair, the 1962 club armchair in reissued form.
  • Haussmann Sofa, which can stand alone or beside an armchair.
