Collection Story
Origin
Ennéa is a Ligne Roset collection by Vincent Tordjman. Its name is the Greek number 9, and that number shapes the structure: a base made of three identical triangles in solid wood, each triangle with three sides.
Design Language
The nine sides of the three triangles make nine vectors, nine directions in the space. What the base calls to mind is the pyramidal structure of a crystal, light and robust together, and the emphasis falls on balance and tension, not on a static form. Assembly is simple yet gives an impression of sophistication.
Key Pieces
The collection has dining tables in round, oval and barrel-shaped versions. The round table with legs in natural oak is 1,300 mm in diameter and 740 mm high, and the barrel-shaped table is 2,400 x 1,200 x 760 mm with a 40 mm thick solid wood top. The Ennéa Desk has a natural-stained walnut veneer top with a varnished "airplane wing" edge on a black-stained solid ash base, and measures 1,545 x 640 x 750 mm. The Ennéa Low table follows the same idea with a base of three identical oblong triangles in solid wood, in black-stained ash or natural oak, under a triangular top in clear glass; it measures 1,190 x 1,190 x 320 mm.
