Collection Story

Origin

Fredericia's page data groups nine entries under the EJ280 Sofa collection: sofas of 212, 240 and 280 cm (Models 8052, 8062 and 8072), corner configurations B and C, a corner module (8099) and end modules (8057, 8066, 8067). The sheets for the 8062 sofa and Configuration C credit Erik Jørgensen Studio and give 2010 for the sofa and 2018 for the Elements corner sofa.

Design Language

The EJ280 Elements page says the sofa can be configured as a 2.5-seater, a 3-seater or a modular corner sofa, and calls the EJ280 an unassuming, comfortable sofa with large cushions and a casual yet structured look. The same module names Erik Ole Jørgensen as designer, who was Head of Design at Kvadrat for many years, while the product credit and the sheets name Erik Jørgensen Studio.
