Collection Story
Origin
Doze is Muuto's lounge chair family by the Norwegian duo Anderssen & Voll. Muuto introduced it as its first grand lounge chair. Espen Voll says comfort is first and foremost about creating a sense of wellbeing, and Torbjørn Anderssen says they had the modern home in mind: a comfortable seat you could spend the whole evening in.
Design Language
The designers cite two sources: the modern, clear lines of the Golden Age of Danish design, and some of their favourite designs of the 1970s. The result is a characteristically large, sheltering back that embraces a soft seat, with vibrant lines and folds in the back and armrests and slender legs in embedded steel for a light, hovering expression.
