Collection Story
Origin
Dezza is the armchair that Gio Ponti designed in 1965 and that Poltrona Frau has reissued. The product sheet records that he was already 74 years old when he drew the armchair and its variants, and that since 1957 he had lived on the top floor of the house he designed in Via Dezza in Milan.
Design Language
Poltrona Frau says the armchair sums up Ponti's design canons, both formal, in the leg with its tapered triangular section, and methodological, in a modular system built from a limited number of pieces to assemble. The reissue of the armchairs and the sofa is described as refined and as exalting their formal beauty.
