Origin
Clayton is a series that Poltrona Frau launched with the sofa of the same name, which it calls sumptuous, distinctive for its sartorial elegance yet radically contemporary. Poltrona Frau says the collection summarises Jean-Marie Massaud's approach, which joins refined artisan techniques with a close look at everyday living. Poltrona Frau dates the series to 2018/2019.
Design Language
Two more pieces follow the sofa: a swivel armchair and a bench with cushion. Poltrona Frau presents them as further examples of Massaud's quest to combine timeless elegance with extreme modernity, and says the items of the collection can be upholstered entirely in leather or in leather combined with Poltrona Frau fabrics.
