Collection Story
Origin
Chelsea is a family of seating by Rodolfo Dordoni for Molteni&C. The datasheets are headed "Chelsea — Rodolfo Dordoni 2014" for the chairs and armchairs and 2015 for the sofas. The armchair datasheet calls chairs and armchairs one product family, and Molteni&C presents the armchair as a place for conversation and relaxation in living spaces.
Design Language
Across the family the datasheets stress a solid wood structure with a velvet-covered padded seat, removable slipcovers and fire-resistant versions on request. The wood bases are offered stained in eucalyptus, graphite oak and black oak; the chairs add sunrise oak and coffee oak.
