Collection Story
Origin
HAY's Can sofa is a design by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec. According to HAY, the brothers set out to do more than make a practical, elegant and comfortable sofa: their intention is to reinvigorate the whole idea of the sofa.

Design Language
HAY describes the aim as turning the sofa from something inherently complicated into something simple, relaxed and accessible. The sofa is delivered flat-packed and is assembled at home from three basic elements, which HAY names as frame, cover and cushions.
