Origin
Bowy is a Patricia Urquiola family for Cassina that starts from a modular indoor sofa she designed in 2018. Cassina's pages call that sofa the original and describe the tables as taking their lines from it.
Design Language
The tables are round, with curved, tapered forms in aluminium sheet. The indoor version offers a top in 1970s-style gloss lacquer or in wood with more texture, and the outdoor version has a recycled-fibreglass top. Both can be overlapped, stacked or set at right angles to each other, which Cassina presents as a way of breaking away from the usual seating schemes.
