Range 118
Thonet calls the 118 a collection of elegant wooden chairs by Sebastian Herkner. The range has chairs with canework, moulded plywood or upholstered seats, armchairs (118 F and the larger 118 FV, also called Fine Dining) and the 118 H barstools in two heights.
Armrests and Fine Dining
The brochure describes the bentwood armrests of the 118 F as pleasing to the touch because of a slight curvature on the upper side. The 118 FV has a larger seat, a wider and slightly more reclined backrest and longer armrests that extend further forward; Thonet says Herkner designed it specifically for fine dining settings.
Barstools
The 118 H barstools premiered at imm cologne 2020 and come in two heights, 65 and 75 cm.
