Vienna Coffee Table

Overview

Vienna is a compact side table created by Flexform Design Center in 2000. Flexform connects its name and austere geometry to the Vienna Secession.

Construction

The table is made entirely from solid wood. Parallel uprights connect its upper tray to the floor-level base, forming the C-shaped profile described by the manufacturer.

Specifications

Official drawing 011E70 labels the table 35 × 40 × 53 cm. The specification offers Canaletto walnut, ash and oak with the stated natural, stained or raw-wood-effect treatments.

Secession reference

Flexform identifies the Vienna Secession as the source behind the table's name and restrained lines. The reference is expressed through a disciplined arrangement of horizontal planes and repeated vertical members.

Tray-table function

The official description calls Vienna a tray table that is intended for placement at a sofa side or along its front edge. Its open C profile allows the upper surface to project beyond the upright structure while the matching lower plane remains on the floor.
