Overview
Steeve Lou is a 2024 freestanding sofa by Jean-Marie Massaud and part of the wider Steeve family. Arper pairs an ergonomic seat depth with high backrests to support both upright and relaxed positions.
Construction
Representative two-seat article 7800 has a metal-and-wood frame and a powder-coated aluminium T-leg. The outer structure and inner cushions may be upholstered in fabric, leather, coated fabric or customer-supplied covering; cushion covers can be removed or replaced.
Specifications
The official drawing for article 7800 prints largest values of 168, 90 and 81.5 cm without axis labels. Three-seat sofas, an ottoman, end tables and a laptop cushion extend the range.

Conditions for pause
Arper presents Steeve Lou as seating that allows attention to slow down, supporting relaxation, creativity and connection. Rounded edges and the elevated back differentiate it within the broader Steeve language.
Comfort with useful additions
The sofa remains freestanding while optional end tables and a laptop cushion add working surfaces. These accessories let the same high-back seat address leisure and focused activity without turning it into a built-in system.
