Soleva Outdoor Stool

Overview

The Soleva stool raises Vincent Van Duysen's outdoor seating language into a compact vertical format. A powder-coated tubular aluminium frame defines the tall stance, and a single marine-plywood panel gives the back a clear focal element.

Materials and function

The recycled plywood panel is protected by an EVA polyurethane finish. Beneath removable upholstery, the seat combines differentiated-density polyurethane with recyclable water-repellent polyester fibre; the back cushion uses polyester fibre. Molteni&C states that the stool is fully stackable.

The SSG1 drawing shows 51, 60.7 and 100.6 cm. Its highest printed value is not accompanied by an axis name.

Vertical expression

Van Duysen gives the Soleva stool a slender, upright profile that remains light in appearance. One sculpted rear panel and the tubular structure establish the compact vertical silhouette described by Molteni&C.
